Roofing in Glenfield, at the Rail Junction

Glenfield is the northern gateway to the district, and the oldest name on this list — it goes back to the property established by the colonial surgeon Charles Throsby. It is also the junction suburb, where the East Hills line meets the Main South, and that has shaped it: a long-settled core, a well-known agricultural high school, and decades of housing added in layers around them.

A mixed roofing picture

Because Glenfield did not arrive in a single wave, you cannot guess the roof from the street. We work on:

Gutters and the catchment

Glenfield sits close to the Georges River, and this end of the district can take heavy, concentrated rainfall. Gutter capacity is the thing that catches people out, especially on houses where a patio was enclosed or an alfresco added without anyone adding a downpipe. It drains fine in ordinary rain and overflows every single time there is a real storm.
